Number of online public services provided in Kazakhstan exceeds 36 million

Over 36.5 million services were provided via eGov portal (Electronic Government of Kazakhstan) during 10 months of 2019 compared to 27.5 million services in 2018, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakhstan’s prime minister.

Currently, the State Services Register includes 723 public services, of which 580 services or 80 percent are provided in electronic format, 648 or 89.6 percent of services are provided through the ‘Government for Citizens’ corporation. Some 143 services or 19.8 percent are still available in paper format only.

Furthermore, business processes on 182 public services were optimized, the average number of documents was reduced by 30 percent from six to four, and the average term for providing services was three times from 31 to 10 days. Compared to 2018, the number of composite public services was doubled (services, when a citizen, having submitted one application, receives several services simultaneously).

This year a new “eGov mobile” mobile application was developed, which provides 31 services and services. Launch of additional 32 services is planned before the end of this year.

Additionally, the level of digital literacy among Kazakhs was 79.6 percent in 2018 compared to the planned indicator of 77 percent. Some 532,000 citizens underwent training since the beginning of this year instead of planned 462,846 people.

‘Government for Citizens’ State Corporation is currently providing public services through 348 front offices, 16 specialized, 17 migration and 18 digital public service centers, 1,656 Kazpost branches for receiving and issuing documents.
