Increase of prices for all types of meat observed in Kazakhstan

Inflation in Kazakhstan amounted to 4.7 percent during 11 months of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Thus, in November 2019 the prices of food items increased by 8.4 percent compared to the beginning of the year and by 9.7 percent compared to the same month of last year. In turn, prices of non-food items increased by 4.3 percent compared to the beginning of the year and by 4.8 percent compared to November 2018, prices of paid services increased by 0.4 percent and 0.6 percent respectively.

The growth of prices since the beginning of the year is observed on flour by 24.8 percent, rice by 23.5 percent, cereal by 22.6 percent, bread by 15.2 percent, potatoes by 14 percent, noodles by 12.1 percent, butter by 10.2 percent, coffee by 9.6 percent, hard-curd cheese by 9 percent, eggs by 8.6 percent, bakery by 8.3 percent, tea by 6.9 percent.

In turn, price of frozen fish increased by 17.3 percent, lamb by 15.9 percent, beef by 15.4 percent, horse meat by 14.6 percent, poultry meat by 11.6 percent, pork by 10.6 percent, meat products by 9.6 percent.

Tobacco products grew in price by 11.7 percent, cold drinks by 11.6 percent, and alcoholic beverages by 7.2 percent.

Decrease of prices is observed on granulated sugar by 18.6 percent and on fresh vegetables by 8.4 percent.

Diesel fuel increased in price by 0.9 percent, coal by 0.7 percent, whereas petrol price decreased by 4.5 percent, liquefied gas in cylinders by 0.8 percent.
