East Azerbaijan Province has a central role in developing relations with neighboring countries northwest of Iran, Iranian MFA spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said, Trend reports via IRNA.
During a meeting with the governor of East Azerbaijan Province, Mousavi said that Tabriz has always had an important role in the development of the country.
Governor of East Azerbaijan, Mohammadreza Pourmohammadi pointing to the province's unique capacities for developing trade and economic relations with neighboring countries, said that Tabriz has the potential to become a regional diplomacy center.
“East Azarbaijan province is one of the safest provinces of the country due to its geographical location and proximity to several countries," Pourmohammadi stated.
Referring to economic and productive capacities of the province, Pourmohammadi pointed to activity of dozens of industrial units in the province, thanks to participation of foreign investors.
