The Uzbek-Chinese business forum and B2B negotiations on agricultural exports were held in Uzbekistan’s capital of Tashkent, during which Uzbek entrepreneurs entered into agreements for the supply of their goods to China, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekistan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI).
The event was organized by CCI together with the Department of Trade of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It was attended by leaders and representatives of 25 Chinese companies selling agricultural products.
Uzbekistan was represented by more than 50 entrepreneurs working in the production, processing and export of agricultural products.
Following the meeting, contracts on supply of goods to China were signed, the CCI said.
The day before, a meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce with a delegation of the Ministry of Trade of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China. It also discussed the possibility of exporting agricultural products from Uzbekistan to China and creating clusters of fruits and vegetables.
