So far, Iran has exported bitumen worth $450 million this Iranian year (began on March 21, 2019), Executive Director of the Iran International Exhibitions Company Bahman Huseynzadeh said.
Huseynzadeh made the remark at the opening ceremony of the 11th International Exhibition of Bitumen, Asphalt, Insulation and Related Machinery in Tehran, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
“Iran exported bitumen to 19 countries,” the executive director added. “Iran is one of 10 countries in terms of bitumen production. Holding of the exhibition may help increase the export volume. Some 125 Iranian companies showcased their products and equipment at the exhibition.”
Huseynzadeh said that the costs related to the production of equipment in Iran are less compared to the foreign analogues.
The exhibition kicked off in Tehran on January 23 and will last till Jan. 26.
