Exports of fruit and vegetable juices from Georgia decrease

In 2019, the export of fruit and vegetable juices from Georgia decreased by 21.8 percent compared to 2018, Trend reports referring to National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In particular, 6,455 tons of fruit and vegetable juices worth $7.21 million were exported from the country.

In 2018, 8,262 tons of fruit and vegetable juices worth $8.68 million were exported from the country.

The top 10 countries, exported juices from Georgia, included Germany – 2,082 tons ($1.92 million), the United States – 1,327 tons ($1.79 million), Australia - 553.4 tons ($630,400), Israel - 427.5 tons ($573,700), Greece - 495.6 tons ($501,000), Russia - 543.7 tons ($445,600), Japan - 170.1 tons ($253,500), Hungary - 155.2 tons ($220,600), Poland - 124.3 tons ($91,300), and Malaysia - 49.4 tons ($91,200).

In 2019, the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $12.8 billion, 2.7 percent higher year-on-year.

The exports equaled $3.7 billion (12.4 percent higher), while the imports stood at $9.1 billion (0.8 percent lower).
