The retail trade volume at the markets and fairs has decreased in Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijan’s State Statistics Committee’s report.
Some 23.6 percent of consumer goods were sold by trading companies, 49.2 percent – by individual entrepreneurs, 27.2 percent – by trading companies and individual entrepreneurs at the markets and fairs in January 2020.
The retail trade turnover in real terms increased by 28.1 percent for trading companies, 0.8 percent for individual entrepreneurs and 8.4 percent for trading companies and individual entrepreneurs at the markets and fairs in January 2020 compared to January 2019.
The average monthly turnover of retail trade per capita in January 2020 amounted to 309.1 manat ($181.8) or 15.3 manat ($9) more in nominal terms than in January 2019.
The average monthly volume of the sold food products per person amounted to 157.2 manat ($92), non-food items - 151.9 manat ($89) in January 2020.
