Turkmenistan's Yigit agriculture society steadily growing tomato varieties for export

The production capacity of Yigit agriculture society is currently growing 12 million kg of tomato per year, the society's agronomist Ahmad Edilov told the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper at the exhibition of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

Yigit agriculture society supplies its products to Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates. Tomatoes are the most supplied, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal Information Portal.

Founded in 2008, the Yigit agriculture society has been steadily working on the Turkmen agriculture market.

Edilov also said that their greenhouse has equipment from leading European companies.

He went on to add that the society's own greenhouses provide high quality and stable production throughout the year.

Yigit economic society is working on production of different tomato varieties. In addition to tomatoes, the society grows various types of vegetables such as onions, garlic, millet, pumpkin, barley and clover.

The agro-industrial complexes of Turkmenistan are trying to develop agricultural sectors, create workplaces and export-oriented and import- substituting products.
