Iran has the potential sources of $20 billion to invest in production leap policy, said the head of the Plan and Budget Organization.
"Total of $16 billion credit for development projects and $9 billion from other budget sources alongside $23 billion investment of public companies are part of the funds that can support projects which are priority in production leap," Mohammad Bagher Noubakht said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Apart from the following this amount, banking system and private sector also will invest in production projects," the head of the organization said.
"The organization will hold a meeting by the end of week to discuss production potentials in 31 provinces," Noubakht added.
"The production leap policy would be implemented alongside ongoing plans; more than 700 economic projects aimed at increasing the production and employment are to be commissioned in current Iranian year [began March 20, 2020]," he added.
"The sources should be assigned to projects that will be launched soon and address the country's needs," he added.
Iran Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has named the new Iranian year the year of production leap and asked officials to take measures to improve production.
