Azerbaijan’s Karat Holding discloses flour production plans for 2020

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 4

By Matanat Nasibova - Trend:

Azerbaijan’s Karat Holding company producing flour intends to greatly increase the production volumes, a source in the company told Trend.

“The company increased production volumes by 20 percent in the first quarter of 2020,” the source said. “The company plans to increase the figure up to 40 percent till late 2020.”

“Today, the production volumes reach 750 tons of flour per day,” the source said. “The company produces the first and second grade flour. We plan to increase this indicator up to 900 - 950 tons per day by the end of the year, as the company’s production capacity allows increasing these volumes.”

“Flour is sold in Baku and other cities of the country,” the source said. “Sales volumes are stable despite great competition in this market segment. However, given that our products are distinguished by high quality, we expect the products not to remain unsold and stored in the company's warehouses, but to be fully sold in the domestic market.”

The products manufactured by the company have a certificate of conformity issued by the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents and a hygiene certificate issued by the Hygiene and Epidemiology Center of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Health.

The Turkish and the US equipment is used in the company.
