Physical volume of Kazakhstan's GDP up in 1Q2020

Physical volume of Kazakhstan’s GDP amounted to 14.3 trillion tenge ($33.8 billion based on current exchange rate) in 1Q2020, which is 2.7 percent more than during 1Q2019 (13.1 trillion tenge or $31.2 billion), preliminary data said, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Fifty-six percent of the total GDP value account for paid services, 36.7 percent account for goods manufacturing, and 7.3 percent account for net tax.

The volume of goods manufacturing amounted to 5.2 trillion tenge ($12.4 billion) in 1Q2020, which is 6.4 percent more than in 1Q2019.

Of this amount, 4.4 trillion tenge ($10.4 billion) accounts for goods produced in industry, which is 6.1 percent more than in 1Q2019; 512.6 billion tenge ($1.2 billion) - for construction sphere, which is 11.7 percent more than in 1Q2019; and 315.3 billion tenge ($746.5 million) - for agriculture, fishery and forestry, which is 2.5 percent more than in 1Q2019.

In turn, 8.01 trillion tenge ($18.9 billion) of Kazakhstan’s GDP accounted for services, which is 0.8 percent more than in 1Q2019.

Net tax stood at 1.03 trillion tenge ($2.4 billion) of GDP, which is 1.4 percent less than in 1Q2019.
