Domestic Producer Price Index for Industrial Products up in Georgia

Domestic Producer Price Index for Industrial Products (DPPI) increased by 0.7 percent in April 2020 compared to March 2020 in Georgia, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).

In the mentioned period, the prices for manufactured products increased by 1.8 percent.

Compared to April 2019, the DPPI increased by 7.1 percent. The prices went up for mining and quarrying products by 8.7, for manufactured products by 7.1 percent and for products from electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 22.1 percent.

In March 2020, the DPPI increased by 2.4 percent compared to the previous month. In the mentioned period, the prices for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning increased by 9.6 percent.

In March 2020, compared to March 2019, the DPPI increased by 6.3 percent. The prices went up for mining and quarrying products by 4.1 percent, for manufactured products - by 5.5 percent, and for products from electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 16 percent.
