Philippines-based company to produce snacks in Uzbekistan

Philippines-based Liwayway Holdings Company Limited plans to launch production of various snacks in Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to Dunyo News Agency.

For this purpose, the Liwayway Holdings Company Limited, which produces food under the world brand Oishi, was officially registered in Uzbekistan in 2019. Currently, the company begins work on construction of the plant in the Kibray district of Tashkent region of Uzbekistan and plans to invest $10 million in the project, the message said.

The company plans to produce and export 1,000 tons of food products worth $1 million annually.

Work to design the future plant in line with urban planning norms and regulations in Uzbekistan was carried out by Uzbek Nilem Proekt Stroy LLC.

The construction is planned to be completed by September 1, 2020, and at the end of August, the company will import modern, resource-saving production equipment, which will be installed at the enterprise in the period from August through September 2020, the message said.

It is planned to launch the project by September 30, 2020, and create 50 jobs at the first stage.
