By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

UK-based ITI Capital is planning to expand its product lines and find new customer audiences in Kazakhstan, COO of ITI Group Nikolay Dontsov told Trend.

On Jun. 29, 2020 ITI Capital has become a trading member of Astana International Exchange (AIX).

“We observe the development of the stock market in Central Asian countries, in particular, in Kazakhstan. We are very interested in what the AIX exchange is doing now, this is precisely why ITI Capital (UK) has received remote trading membership on AIX,” Dontsov said.

He noted that the prospects of Kazakhstan’s market and companies in Central Asia are of interest to the company’s customers.

“We thus would like to have access to these capital markets and to new placements of companies that will be held on AIX. We are ready to organize these placements and offer them to our clients. Both our institutional and private clients need access to the most liquid securities on the classic exchange trading. This is another promising emerging market,” the COO said.

Dontsov added that while the Group does not plan on entering local retail business in Kazakhstan, ITI Group will expand its product lines and find new client audiences in there.

“We will start with placement of stocks, bonds, as well as with remote trading through our UK broker. In the future, we will develop local products for local customers in Kazakhstan and continue to work with AIX,” he said.

ITI Capital, which was founded in 1994, specializes in financial technology business with a focus on global brokerage, asset management, fintech investments & technology transfer on a global scale under the umbrella of the ITI Group.

AIX was formed in 2017 within the Astana International Financial Centre development framework. AIX shareholders are AIFC, Goldman Sachs, the Shanghai stock exchange, the silk Road Fund, and NASDAQ, which also provides the AIX trading platform.
