Iran to launch several industrial enterprises in Sistan and Baluchestan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 9

Three industrial and commercial enterprises will be put into operation in the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (southeastern Iran) on July 9, said Mahmoud Reza Rahmatian, Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Sistan and Baluchestan Province Province, Trend reports referring to the organization’s website.

According to Rahmatian, 2.4 trillion rials (about $57.1 million) were spent on the construction of these facilities.

Rahmatian added that Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) has resumed operations at Iranshahr Baft Baluch Company. In the first stage, 150 people were employed with the spending of more than 2 trillion rials (about $47.6 million) and 4,500 tons of various types of cotton yarn will be produced annually.

The chairman said that as part of the plan to expand Arman Gostar Novin Konarak Company, the company's food can manufacturing plant will be put into operation and will produce 8,000 tons of food cans a year.

"About 200 billion rials (about $4.76 million) have been spent on commissioning of the workshop and 40 people will be employed," he said.

Rahmatian noted that 5 warehouses for storage of essential products have been reconstructed and put into operation at the Makran warehouses network.

"More than 200 billion rials (about $4.76 million) have been spent on the rehabilitation of five warehouses and 40 people will be employed" he said.
