Uzbek manufacturer of home appliances expands its presence in Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 5

Uzbek manufacturer of home appliances Artel has signed an agreement with the Kazakh chain of stores Sulpak, Trend reports citing the company.

"The total value of the deal is $30 million for a period of three years. As of today, the products for more than $1 million are ready for sale, and in 2020 alone, it is planned to sell products for $8 million," the message said.

The list of products includes gas stoves, refrigerators and washing machines

Currently, Artel products are being exported to Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, as well as to Kazakhstan. In 2019, products worth over $20 million were exported to Kazakhstan.

The Sulpak store chain has more than 130 stores in 38 cities in Kazakhstan and two cities in Kyrgyzstan. The chain has an annual turnover of approximately $1 billion and a market share of approximately 30 percent in Kazakhstan.
