Iran reveals details of fruit juices exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 20

Iran exported about 48,000 tons of fruit juices worth more than $38.1 million during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21, 2020), Spokesman for Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

“These products were exported to 35 countries, including, among others, Germany, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Maldives, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Netherlands, Turkey, Pakistan, New Zealand, Russia, Norway and Kuwait,” he said.

Latifi added that the fruit juices worth $9.66 million were exported to Pakistan, $6.52 million - to Turkey and $6.15 million - to Afghanistan.

The spokesman emphasized that in turn, Iran imported 2,100 tons of fruit juices worth $2.11 million during 4 months.

"The fruit juices were imported from eight countries: Turkey, Brazil, Belgium, the UAE, Spain, Thailand, India and Italy," he said.

Latifi noted that the largest volume of fruit juices worth $2 million was imported from Thailand.
