Kazakhstan reveals its trade indicators with Turkey for 1H2020

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey amounted to $1.6 billion over first six months of 2020, compared to $1.5 billion during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The share of Turkey in total value of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover stood at 4 percent during the reporting period compared to 3.3 percent during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Turkey amounted to $1.2 billion over the period from January through June 2020, compared to $1.1 billion during the same period of 2019.

Turkey’s share in total volume of Kazakhstan’s export amounted to 4.9 percent during the reporting period of 2020 compared to 4.1 percent during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Turkey amounted to $419.4 million over the reporting period, compared to $363.3 million during the same period of 2019.

Turkey’s total share in Kazakhstan’s import was 2.5 percent during the reporting period of 2020, while the figure was 2.1 percent during the same period of 2019.

The total volume of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover amounted to $42.5 billion over the period from Jan. through June 2020 which indicates a decrease from $46.1 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export amounted to $26 billion during the reporting period of 2020 ($28.6 billion in the same period of 2019), whereas imports amounted to $16.5 billion ($17.5 billion in 2019).
