Iran exported 3.05 million tons of agricultural and food products worth $2.13 billion during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 20-August 21, 2020), Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.
The spokesman emphasized that Iran's agricultural and food products accounted for 19.9 percent of Iran's total exports.
“These products were mainly exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, the UAE, Pakistan, Russia, India, Turkey, Vietnam, Turkmenistan, and Germany,” he added.
Latifi said that in total, Iran exported about 38 million tons of non-oil products worth $10.7 billion over five months.
The official also noted that 13.7 million tons of goods worth $13.8 billion were imported.
According to Latifi, Iran's trade turnover in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21) was about $5 billion.
