As many as 11,400 different types of tractors were delivered to farmers in Iran during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), Director of the Iranian Agricultural Equipment Development Center Kambiz Abbasi said, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad.
The director emphasized however, a total of about 15,000 different tractors were delivered to farmers last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).
Abbasi added that the loans worth 13.5 trillion rials (about $321 million) were issued to the purchase of tractors during the first six months of the current Iranian year.
"While in the same period last Iranian year, 5 trillion rials (about $119 million) worth of loans were issued for the purchase of tractors," he said.
