Uzbekistan, Ukraine in talks to co-op in industry sector

Uzbekistan and Ukraine consider establishing long-term cooperation between the industrial sectors of the two countries, Trend reports with reference to Dunyo information agency.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Alisher Kurmanov at the Embassy met with former Prime Minister, and now President of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Anatoliy Kinakh.

The parties discussed the development of industrial cooperation between the two countries, the creation of favorable conditions for doing business, access of entrepreneurs to financial resources, ways of protecting business from the influence of various negative factors.

One of the important results of the meeting was an agreement on the formation of a joint roadmap to establish long-term cooperation between the industrial sectors of the two countries.

Today the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is a large public structure uniting representatives of large, medium and small businesses.

The Union cooperates with more than 100 civil society organizations and industry associations, as well as the World Bank, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the United Nations Global Compact, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Nations Development Program, International Monetary Fund and other structures.
