BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct.15

By Fidan Babayeva – Trend:

Azerbaijani legal entities and individuals conducted trade operations with partners from 175 countries during the past 9 months of 2020, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee.

According to the committee, this figure includes the export of products to 105 countries and imports from 162 countries.

The country's foreign trade turnover from January through September 2020 amounted to $15.6 billion (taking into account the statistical value of crude oil and natural gas exported by customs authorities, but customs clearance of which was not fully completed), including over $ 8.9 billion in exports and nearly $6.7 billion in imports. As a result, the positive trade balance amounted to over $2.2 billion.

Over the reporting period, the foreign trade turnover in real prices decreased by 29.8 percent, in real terms - by 22.9 percent, imports - by 42.2 percent, and exports - by 8.9 percent compared to the same period of last year.

Meanwhile, non-oil products worth $ 1.15 billion were exported from the country, which in actual prices is 9.7 percent less and in real terms 18.4 percent less than in the same period of last year.
