Iran boosts aluminum ingots production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 11

The aluminum ingots production in Iran increased by 69 percent during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the statistics, 5 companies that are engaged in aluminum ingots production in Iran produced about 247,000 tons of aluminum ingots during the reporting period.

While in the same period last Iranian year, this figure amounted to about 146,000 tons, the statistics added.

“Over the reporting period, Iran Aluminum Company produced 109,000 tons of aluminum ingots, Hormozal Aluminum Company – 53,400 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – 39,800 tons, South Aluminum Company – 32,000 tons, Iran Alumina Company – 13,400 tons of aluminum ingots,” the statistics said.

In addition, the Iran Alumina Company produced about 139,000 tons of aluminum powder, 465,000 tons of bauxite, 235,000 tons of aluminum hydrate, and 65,000 tons of limestone within 7 months, according to the statistics.
