Kazakhstan decreases exports to Netherlands amid COVID-19

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands amounted to $2.4 billion over the first nine months of 2020, compared to $3.3 billion during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The share of the Netherlands in the total value of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover stood at 3.9 percent during the reporting period, compared to 4.7 percent during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to the Netherlands amounted to $2.2 billion over the period from January through Sept. 2020, compared to $3.2 billion during the same period of 2019.

The Netherlands’s share in the total volume of Kazakhstan’s export amounted to 6.5 percent during the reporting period of 2020 compared to 7.5 percent during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from the Netherlands amounted to nearly $155.5 million over the reporting period, compared to $158.4 million during the same period of 2019.

The Netherlands’s share in the total volume of Kazakhstan’s imports amounted to 0.6 percent during the reporting period of 2020 compared to 0.5 percent during the same period of 2019.

The total volume of Kazakhstan’s trade turnover amounted to $62.8 million over the period from January through Sept. 2020 which indicates a decrease from $72.09 million during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export amounted to $35.3 million during the reporting period of 2020 ($43.1 million in the same period of 2019), whereas imports amounted to $27.4 million ($28.9 million in 2019).

During the reporting period, the main articles of Kazakhstan and the Netherlands trade turnover were food products, agricultural products, as well as products of the chemical industry.
