CBI announces Iran's external debt

TEHRAN, Iran, Nov. 24

Central Bank of Iran statistics shows Iran's external debt at the end of the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started on March 20), according to which this figure has reached $8.655 billion.

The statistics published by the Central Bank indicate that the current account balance of the country in the foreign debt during the first 4 months of the current Iranian year (started on March 20) has reached minus $ 622 million, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

Accordingly, the trade balance, was minus $ 212 million; Which means the amount of exports of goods has reached $8.9 billion and imports have reached $9.1 billion.

Iran's total foreign debt at the end of this period has been recorded at 8.6 billion dollars.
