The number of industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan as of November 1, 2020, increased by more than 17 percent compared to the same period last year, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The committee reports that the number of industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan for the past 10 months reached 81,502 enterprises.
The highest indicators in terms of the number of industrial enterprises in the context of regions were shown in Tashkent city, amounting to 15,617. Almost two times fewer industrial enterprises were recorded in Fergana (8,705), Tashkent (8,552), Andijan (8,291) regions. Some 6,835 industrial enterprises were recorded in the Samarkand region.
This year, industrial goods in the structure of exports account for 17.6 percent of its total volume for 10M2020.
In general, the number of exporting entities for the specified period amounted to 5,608, and the volume of exports, excluding special exports, reached $7,525 million.
Earlier it was reported that the largest number of industrial enterprises created in Uzbekistan for 9M2020 fell on Tashkent city, amounting to 15,440 enterprises.
As a result of reforms aimed at changing the forms of ownership and restructuring industries in Uzbekistan for 9M2020, their number in industry amounted to 80,023 units, which is 16.6 percent more than in the same period last year.
