The activities of 991 industrial enterprises in Iran's industrial parks have been restored since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to December 5, Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Asghar Mosaheb said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
Mosaheb emphasized that 247 enterprises were re-commissioned on the production of chemical products, 234 enterprises on metal products and 212 enterprises on the food products. A total of 17,000 people were employed with the restoration of these enterprises.
He added that an average of 18 people were employed in each enterprise.
The official noted that in total, 30.3 trillion rials (about $723 million) was spent on the restoration of these enterprises.
"There are more than 46,000 small and medium-sized industrial enterprises in Iran's industrial parks, at present. About 9,200 of them are inactive. It was decided to restore the activities of 2,000 enterprises in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2021)," he said.
