Within the frameworks of social responsibility of Turkish company ENKA, "Rioni Gorge Development Association" small business support company was founded in Georgia, Trend reports via Georgian media.
ENKA, which implements the project of Namakhvani HPP cascade in Tskaltubo and Tsageri Municipalities, pays special attention to promoting the development of small enterprises in the villages in the project area.
"The company operates mainly in the fields of engineering, construction, and energy in 64 countries around the world, where it currently employs more than 20,000 people. Some 10 percent of the project is owned by the Norwegian Clean Energy Group," ENKA said.
The main beneficiary of the company will be the local population engaged in viticulture, winemaking and beekeeping.
ENKA emphasizes its readiness to work with stakeholders in the development of the viticulture, and winemaking sector, to provide stakeholders with accurate and comprehensive information about researches conducted by the company and to make its own contribution to important regional development, such as developing Tvishi microzone.
