Russia remains main exporter of Uzbek textile production

The volume of textile production export from Uzbekistan to Russia in value terms in 2020 amounted to $655 million, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

According to the Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan’s export of textile products to 70 foreign countries in 2020 amounted to worth $1.9 billion. It is noted that this figure is $295.3 million more compared to 2019.

The second place in the list of main textile exports in 2020 is taken by China with export production worth 438 million. It is followed by Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, $284 and $206 million, respectively.

In addition, Uzbekistan in 2020 exported textile goods to Poland worth $43.4 million, Kazakhstan – $42.3 million, Tajikistan – $34.7 million, and Ukraine - $33.1 million.

At the same time, the least export of textile production fell on Iran – $26 million.

Earlier it was reported that the export of textile products for 9M2020 accounted for $1.3 billion, which amounted to 10.8 percent of the total export of Uzbekistan. The increase in exports of textile products compared to 9M2019 amounted to 14.6 percent.

Some 455 types of textile products have been exported to 60 countries of the world for 3Q2020.

The largest volume of textile products in value terms for 9M2020 was exported to Russia - $486.5 million, followed by China - $277.5 million, Kyrgyzstan - $196.5 million, and Turkey - $153.4 million, Poland - $32.6 million, and Kazakhstan - $30.6 million.
