The sales of National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) amounted to about 312 trillion rials (about $7.42 billion) during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020, through January 20, 2021), Managing Director of the company, Ardashir Sad Mohammadi said, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
Sad Mohammadi emphasized that the company's sales increased by 70 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
He added that the company's sales amounted to about 32.2 trillion rials (about $766 million) in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 21, 2020, to January 20, 2021).
The director noted that the company's sales in the 10th month increased by 18 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
According to him, the company produced 231,000 tons of copper cathode within 10 months, and copper cathode production increased by 12.5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Sad Mohammadi said that the company produced 292,000 tons of copper anode over the 10 months. The copper anode production increased by 10 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
The director stressed that the company produced 998,000 tons of copper concentrate in the ten months, which is an increase of 5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“In 10 months, the company produced about 242,000 tons of raw copper. The production increased by 3 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year and is expected to be reached 280,000 tons by the end of the current Iranian year,” he said.
