Uzbekistan reveals investment projects in small industrial zone of Namangan region

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 19

Some 22 investment projects worth 119 million soums ($11,324) are planned to be implemented in Dashtbog small industrial zone in the Namangan region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to the press service of the president of Uzbekistan.

The mentioned issue was discussed during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Dashtbog small industrial zone in the Namangan region.

The president in his message to the Oliy Majlis (parliament) said that technology parks, small industrial zones, regional clusters, and logistics centers will be created in the districts and cities in order to further increase the industrial potential.

In particular, land plots in the Namangan region have been allocated for the creation of 72 small industrial zones. To date, 34 have been commissioned.

It was noted that despite the fact that the Dashtbog industrial plant was established recently, several enterprises have already been launched here. Thus, Dream liner tekstil LLC has started sewing overalls and men's shirts, Navro 'z tekstil sanoat produces clothes for children and men, Aziz Dizayn Servis - bags, backpacks and suitcases, Biaz Text - sandwich panels.

According to the information, the area of Dashtbog's small industrial zone amounts to about four hectares. A number of enterprises are being built and equipped on the territory of this small industrial zone.

In general, it is planned to implement 22 projects for 119 billion soums ($11,324). It is expected that as a result, more than 3,000 jobs will be created, and there will be an opportunity to export products worth $2.7 million.

In addition, the president discussed measures for the development of the road, transport, and communal infrastructure of the Namangan region.
