Georgia exported 3,762 tons of semi-finished products of iron, non-alloy steel to Turkey totaling $1.46 million in January 2021, Trend reports referring to National Statistics Office (Geostat).
On an annual basis, Georgia decreased the export of semi-finished products of iron, non-alloy steel to Turkey by 244 tons.
Over the same period last year, 4,006 tons of semi-finished products of iron, non-alloy steel were exported by Georgia to Turkey for a total amount of $1.50 million.
Turkey ranked second in Georgia’s commodity circulation in the reporting period.
In January 2020, total imports from Turkey to Georgia amounted to $92,880 million. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $21,427 million to Turkey. The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey in the reporting period exceeded $114.308 million, which is 15 percent of Georgia's total trade turnover.
The external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $762.5 million in January 2021, which is 16.5 percent lower in comparison to the same month of 2020.
The exports equaled $224.4 million (16.2 percent lower), while the imports stood at $538.1 million (16.6 percent lower).
