Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in the first two months of 2021 amounted to over $5 million, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijani State Customs Committee's statistical bulletin.
According to the bulletin, for the reporting period the value of export of Azerbaijani goods to Turkmenistan exceeded $4.7 million, surging by 67 percent compared to 2M2020.
As reported, the share of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan's total export grew from 0.09 to 0.17 percent year on year.
In turn, imports from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan made up $355,000, while the share of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan’s total import – 0.02 percent.
The balance of foreign trade turnover between the countries from January through February of this year remained positive, amounting to $4.38 billion.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in the first 2 months of 2021 amounted to about $4.4 billion, which is 12.6 percent less compared to the same period of 2020.
