Iran's polyethylene exports rise

Iran's exports of polyethylene grade flame below 94 UL increased by 33.4 percent in terms of value and 17.8 percent in terms of volume in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021), compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, through March 19, 2020), Trend reports citing the statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to the statistics, Iran exported 1.51 million tons of polyethylene graded flame frame worth $1.46 billion in the last Iranian year.

“The exports of this product accounted for 4.17 percent of Iran's total exports in terms of value and 1.33 percent in terms of volume over last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

In addition, the exports of Iran’s polyethylene grade flame over 94 UL also increased by 12.1 percent in terms of value and by 14.8 percent in terms of volume in the last Iranian year compared to the preceding Iranian year, according to the statistics.

So, Iran exported 1.06 million tons of polyethylene graded flame over 94 UL worth $880 million in the last Iranian year.

“The exports of this product accounted for 2.51 percent of Iran's total exports in terms of value and 0.94 percent in terms of volume over last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

While in the preceding Iranian year, Iran exported 930,000 tons of polyethylene graded flame over 94 UL worth $785 million, the statistics said.

While in the preceding Iranian year, Iran exported 1.28 million tons of polyethylene graded flame worth $1.09 billion, the statistics said.

As reported, 10 products worth $13.7 billion accounted for 39 percent of Iran's total exports worth about $35 billion over last Iranian year.

Iran's total foreign trade turnover amounted to about 146 million tons worth $73 billion in the last Iranian year. During this period, Iran exported 112 million tons of goods worth about $35 billion and imported 33.4 million tons worth $38.4 billion.
