A number of agricultural facilities were put into operation in Iran today on June 3, Trend reports citing IRINN.
According to the report, a total of 75.2 trillion rials (about $1.79 billion) have been spent on all facilities put into operation today, and thus, 15,800 people have been employed.
Drainage has been set up on 20,000 hectares of land in the Golestan Province (northeastern Iran).
In addition, 1,630 greenhouses on 1,210 hectares of land have been put into operation in many parts of Iran.
At the same time, two fishing facilities were put into operation on the southern coast of Iran's Yazd Province.
Reportedly, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Iranian Minister of Agriculture Jihad Kazem Khavazi and other officials attended the online event dedicated to the launch of agricultural facilities in Iran.
