Uzbekistan and Russia's Tatarstan signed roadmaps to expand cooperation for 2021-2022, including development of partnerships in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan.

On June 16, within the framework of the visit of the delegation of Tatarstan to Uzbekistan, a Business Forum between the regions of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan was held.

During their speeches, the heads of delegations noted the colossal potential for the development of industrial cooperation in the agro-industrial sector, food, textile, electrical, chemical, engineering industries, as well as in the production of building materials.

Also, they highlighted the broad prospects for combining the resources and technological capabilities of manufacturers of Tatarstan and various regions of Uzbekistan to create joint high-tech industries with the aim of producing demanded products with high added value and developing markets in other countries.

In conclusion, the parties assured the participants of their commitment to provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs from Tatarstan and the regions of Uzbekistan and urged them to actively cooperate and implement mutually beneficial projects and initiatives.

Also, presentations of investment and trade opportunities of various industries and targeted meetings in the B2B format were organized between large enterprises of Tatarstan - leaders in the Russian market and entrepreneurs of the city of Tashkent and the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan.

As a result of the forum, the administrations of the Tashkent region and the city of Tashkent and Tatarstan signed road maps to expand cooperation for 2021-2022, including specific measures to develop partnerships in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, exchange of experience in the areas of urban planning, municipal management, transport, housing and communal services, improvement and social support, as well as the implementation of specific investment projects.
