Kazakhstan boosts silver production y-o-y

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan has amounted to 438,305 kg over the period from January through May 2021, which is 11.4 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 89,888 kg in May 2021, which is 3.9 percent more than in May 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 10.1 percent during the reporting months, having amounted to 46,958 kg (7,919 kg in May 2021, decrease by 10.9 percent compared to May 2020).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 547,575 tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 2.7 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 31,461 tons in May 2021, which is 7 percent more that in May 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 49,092 tons over the reporting period, which is 8.7 percent less than during the same period of 2020. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in May 2021 was 9,778 tons, which is 20.5 percent less than in May 2020.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 129,307 tons, which is 1.8 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (24,918 tons in May 2021, up by 1.6 percent compared to May 2020).

As reported, the manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 207,752 tons, which is 0.6 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (43,552 tons in May 2021, which is 0.7 percent less than in May 2020).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 13,890 tons, which is 38.9 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (3,647 tons in May 2021, decrease by 7.5 percent compared to May 2020).
