Value of Iran's exports to Kuwait up

The value of Iran's exports to Kuwait increased by 68 percent during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran’s (TPOI) Arabic-African Affairs Office Farzad Piltan said, Trend reports citing the organization.

Piltan emphasized that the value of Iran's exports to Kuwait amounted to more than $24 million over the reporting period.

The director general added that Kuwait ranked 12th among 15 countries in terms of exports, and accounted for 0.4 percent of Iran's total exports in terms of value.

“Cement, fish, iron rods, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, beans and eggplants were the main goods exported to Kuwait within the two months,” he said.

As reported, Iran exported 16.8 million tons of goods worth $6.32 billion in the first two months of the current Iranian year. The exports increased by 48 percent in terms of value and 17 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
