The exports through the customs of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 69 percent in terms of value and 47 percent in terms of volume during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Customs Inspector of the Hormozgan Province Abolfazl Akbarpour said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
The official noted that 11.6 million tons of goods worth $3.91 billion were exported through the customs of Hormozgan Province within the mentioned period.
“While non-oil exports through the province's customs amounted to 9 million tons worth $3 billion over the 3 months. This is an increase of 65 percent in terms of value and 45 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he added.
Akbarpour said that mining minerals and petrochemicals were the main exported goods through the province's customs. These goods were mainly exported to China, the UAE, Thailand, India and Oman.
As reported, Iran exported 30 million tons of goods worth $10.7 billion in the first three months of the current Iranian year. Iran's exports increased by 69 percent in terms of value and 38 percent in terms of volume.
