Azerbaijan's non-oil exports increased in the first half of this year, Director of the Export Promotion Department of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) Tural Hajily told Trend on July 9.
According to Hajily, this volume grew by 27.1 percent and amounted to nearly $1.2 billion, which is a logical consequence of the economic reforms carried out by the Azerbaijani government, as well as steps taken in connection with trade facilitation and measures to support exporters.
He noted that growth was mainly recorded in the agriculture, industry and processing sectors.
"This is a clear indicator of economic diversification," emphasized the head of the department.
The mission of AZPROMO is to meet the needs of businessmen by providing targeted services, as well as to facilitate the inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) and export efficiency.
