The level of Polish investments in Georgia in 1Q2021 amounted to $700,000 according to the data of the National Bank of Poland, Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology of Poland told Trend.

As the ministry said, Polish companies providing business services or distributing plastic products operates on the Georgian market.

"It should be remembered, however, that the COVID-19 pandemic served to dampen investor sentiment. Restrictions introduced by countries and uncertainty about the health situation influenced the decisions of entrepreneurs," the source said.

We believe that the situation will change once the pandemic is over, the ministry added.

"Georgia is very positively assessed by international organizations as one of the most open economies in the world in terms of investment policy (e.g. in the OECD peer review conducted in 2020), which is why we see great opportunities for Polish investors," the source said.
