Value of Iran’s exports increases

The exports of Iran increased by 53 percent in term of value, while in terms of volume, there was no change in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2021), compared to the same month last year, Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

Iran's exports amounted to 8.36 million tons worth about $3.65 billion during the 4th month.

According to Latifi, Iran exported 2.78 million tons of goods worth $1.25 billion to China in the fourth month. Iran's exports to China increased by 94 percent in terms of value and 19 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Latifi added that Iran also exported 1.33 million tons of goods worth $473 million to Iraq within the mentioned month, which is a decrease of 2 percent in terms of value and 8 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same month of the last Iranian year.

"At the same time, Iran exported 843,000 tons of goods worth $352 million to the UAE in the fourth month. This is an increase of 39 percent in terms of value and a decrease of 31 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same month last Iranian year,” he said.

The official noted that Iran's exports to Turkey amounted to 350,000 tons worth $328 million. The exports increased by 110 percent in terms of value and by 8 percent in terms of volume.

“In addition, Iran exported 415,000 tons of goods worth $258 million to Afghanistan over the reporting month, which is an increase of 18 percent in terms of volume and a decrease of 37 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same month last Iranian year,” he said.

The spokesman stressed that in total, Iran's trade turnover in the 4th month of the current Iranian year amounted to 12.4 million tons worth $8 billion. The trade turnover increased by 39 percent in terms of value and 10 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
