Petroleum products manufacturing increases in Kazakhstan over 7M2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12

More than 7.2 million tons of petroleum products were manufactured over the period from January through July 2021, which is 12 percent more than in 2020, Kazakh Energy Minister, Nurlan Nogayev said, Trend reports citing the Kazakh government.

The manufacturing of motor gasoline amounted to 2.7 million tons, which is 7.3 percent than during the same period in 2020 of the year.

The volume of diesel fuel production amounted to 2.8 million tons, which is 9 percent more, whereas jet fuel production equaled 323,000 tons, which is 27.7 percent more than over the reporting period of 2020. Production of fuel oil was 1.4 million tons, which is 25 percent more. Bitumen output equaled 556,000 tons, which is 2.5 percent more.

In general, the volume of petrochemical products amounted to 84,500 tons, which corresponds to the production plan for the reporting period.

During the reporting period, 66.2 billion kWh of electricity was generated, which is 7.7 percent more than over the same period of 2020. Electricity generation via renewable energy sources amounted to 2.03 billion kWh, which is 42 percent more than during the same period in 2020.
