There has been a plan for increasing domestic production to $3.4 billion in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), said the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The implementation of domestic production projects is a necessity to utilize the country's capacity in production and services and supporting Iranian commodities by providing advances from the National Development Fund, said Mehdi Sadeghi Niaraki.
"The related organizations should provide reports about the realization of the plan every three months. We have also announced that any national resource could be utilized for implementation of domestic production projects to increase investment and capacity," he noted.
Niaraki went on to stress that Iran is seeking to identify domestic production projects to be financed via Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) at the stock market.
"Implementation of these projects should be on the agenda of the new government and the Ministry Industry, Mine and Trade because they could generate considerable income," he emphasized.
Iran targeted $3.2 billion for the development of domestic production in the last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) which has increased to more than $3.4 billion.
