Iran seeks to attract foreign investment in Iran’s free trade zones, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Hossein Amirabdollahian the Iranian foreign minister made the remarks during a meeting with the Secretary of Iranian Free Zones High Council. Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari was also present at the meeting.

The foreign minister said one of the most important goals of the foreign policy of the current Iranian administration is a comprehensive expansion of economic and trade relations with other countries, especially neighboring countries.

He went on to say that several countries expressed willingness to invest in Iran’s free trade zones.

Amirabdollahian mentioned the plan for using the capacities of the country's diplomatic apparatus to promote economic cooperation with other countries.
