Iran and Belarus expanding agricultural ties

TEHRAN, Iran, Nov.11

Iran and Belarus are expanding agricultural trade and increasing joint cooperation, Trend reports citing ILNA.

Recently, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding in Minsk regarding bilateral trade and commercial relations for agricultural products, fisheries and fish farming fields.

The signing took place during Iranian Deputy Agriculture Minister Abbas Askarzadeh's visit to Minsk, to attend the Iran-Belarus Agricultural Cooperation Group meeting.

Askarzadeh pointed out that Tehran and Minsk are looking to incresase economic and agricultural cooperation.

Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Aleksei Bogdanov, for his part, highlighted the significant growth in trade between the two countries in the field of agriculture in 2020 and 2021, stating that the two sides can mutually meet the significant needs of each other.
