Iran's auto production during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) increased 1.8 percent, said the Minister of Industries, Mine and Trade, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The country's automakers produced 560,514 vehicles from March 21 to October 22 while it is predicted that annual production would increase to 3 million vehicles by 2025, Reza Fatemi Amin noted.
There are ten ongoing projects in the auto industry that are expected to affect production growth. Auto production is expected to reach 1.6 million vehicles in the next Iranian year (starts March 21, 2022).
SAIPA and Iran Khodro are two major Iranian automakers that have increased daily production to 200 and 500 vehicles.
