Iran and Iraq are reviewing the ways to develop economic cooperation in power, water industries, private sector, and technical services, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The secretary of Iran and Iraq Joint Economic Commission and Managing Director of the Iranian Electrical Power Equipment Manufacturing and Provision Company (SATKAB) and deputy interior minister held a meeting to review ways to develop relations between the two countries.
Encouraging private sector companies to export goods and technical services to Iraq, development of cooperation in water and power industries are some of the paths to expand bilateral ties .
Issues such as the construction of the Shalamche – Basra railway, border markets, social and security problems in the region were discussed during the meeting.
