BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 21. Iran's raw steel production amounted to about 2.89 million tons, in the 1st month of current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022), which is an increase of 3 percent, compared to the same month Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports via the report of Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
Meanwhile, in the same month Iranian year, Iran produced 2.8 million tons of raw steel.
"Furthermore, 1.83 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran within first month. This is an increase of 5 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year. So, the figure stood at 1.75 million tons in the same month of last Iranian year," the statistics said.

According to the statistics, Iran produced more than 3.24 million tons of sponge iron within the first month of current Iranian year.
This is an increase of 3 percent compared to the same month of last Iranian year. So, this figure stood at 3.16 million tons in the same month of last Iranian year.
