BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. An iron production plant, which has no analogues in the country, has been commissioned in Kazakhstan, Trend reports via press service of Jetisu region.
Elektromarganets plant for the production of direct reduced iron with a capacity of 20,000 tons per year was commissioned in Tekeli city.
About 129 billion tenge ($264 million) have been attracted into region's economy, 15 investment projects have been implemented since the beginning of the year, with Elektromarganets plant being one of them, where the production process know-how has been introduced and modern scientific achievements in the field of metallurgy are used.
The production uses domestic concentrates, ore and coal, and the product is in high demand. At the moment, negotiations are underway with European countries, China, Türkiye and Russia for the export of products manufactured at the plant.
